Personal PROJECTS: 2023
Below is a roster of the main projects I’m currently working on for art exhibitions, wall art, books, zines, and more.
I kindly and humbly ask curators, gallerists and others from the art world to reach out if you’re interested in featuring me.
ALICE: Post Rehab
Alice came back from wonderland and landed in rehab. But that wouldn’t stop her! Eventually she just walked out on her own volition. Now she’s feeding her curiosity again.
She’s less interested in the drugs and spirits, and more interested in exploration.
Follow Alice as she discovers the corners of the world.

HOLY MOUNTAIN CULT
The world was flipped on its head and a group of women and girls fled to the mountains. There they began something cute and sweet, which quickly turned in to a cult.
The women and girls break apart - some choose a more innocent and spiritual path, others a religious path, some find themselves committing acts of violence, whilst a few find lovers. We still haven’t found the cult leader, but we hear she’s hiding in the woods.
This series shows snapshots in to the lives of the feral women of the mountains

Mother nature
An ode to our mother. This series is just a visual break from the aggressiveness seen everywhere else.
We live in a creative space where everyone is trying to outperform each other. Everyone is trying to get the most likes and turn heads. Most of it is shit. So this is a space for people to unwind, return to our roots, and see what we find.
I have a ton of spots and always looking for more.

Cinema I
What if you opened a drawer and found images and you couldn’t tell if they were real, or scenes from a film?
That is the basis of this series.
Cinema (1) is focused on themes of surrender, emotions, fantasy, glamour, sex, death, and surrealism.
This series gives a nod to 60’s and 70’s art house films, as well as psycho-sexual thriller films from the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s - none of which would get produced today.

TIMING: 24/7
Cinema II
(AKA Halloween, AKA True Crime Podcasts)
This series obviously comes with a trigger warning.
This series started when I was on Christmas break and it snowed. I was talking to my parents about how TV shows so much crime and blood on TV and nobody really cares - but a picture would carry so much more weight.
I asked a friend if I could shoot her in the snow. “Naked?” she asked. Even better! My mom made the fake blood and I drove to the friends parent’s house. We shot some polaroids and the image above in about 60 seconds. I left a polaroid for my friends’ mom in her bathroom.
A couple days later their housekeeper found the polaroid. She FREAKED out. They had to explain to her how it was fake. It proved my point.
This series has truly fucked with viewers. Some think I’m some sort of monster for creating these - the same people who will listen to hours of true crime podcasts or dress as demons for Halloween.
This series is simply a reflection of media and people’s obsession with fucked up shit. The point of this is to create images that blur the line between reality and fiction.

Makeup
Fun origin story: I lived in a rough neighborhood. The boys on my block were always getting in trouble for violence and crime. Many of the guys in my neighborhood later ended up in jail. My mom could see the potential for me to go down the wrong path so she kept me around the girls/women and got me in to art.
A huge part of my work comes from watching my grandma do her makeup, my sister putting me in dresses and doing my nails, and watching scary movies with my mom. I truly feel at peace watching makeup. I’m probably one of just a handful of straight men who just love watching their girlfriends put on makeup for hours. I used to stand by the door to talk with and watch my old roommate, Erin Parsons, do her makeup. It’s a safe space for me.
I also like pushing makeup artists to try things differently. I like exploring concepts with makeup and introducing them to new ideas whenever I can. I like giving them a space to do shit they can’t do with a full team.
Some MUA’s I’ve loved working with: Raisa Flowers, Sam Visser, Allie Smith, Elisa Flowers, Jen Myles, Georgie Sandev, Miriam Robstad, Yuki Hayashi, Erin Parsons, and many others!
This series just opens the door to more of that. Maybe we can get it published in Beauty Papers, or maybe it just sits on the web. I don’t care.
DETAILS
CASTING: Open to makeup artists who have a certain vibe
STYLING: Mixed
LOCATIONS: Wherever. 90% of these were shot in apartments and hotel rooms
TIMING: 24/7
Mother Earth
Not to be confused with the Mother Nature series (below), Mother Earth is a series full of questions:
“What if we misunderstood Mother Earth?
What if she’s just as fascinated and curious about the stars and humans as we are of her?
What if she loves our power and wisdom as much as we love hers?
What if she’s watching us when we look at constellations or check out our reflections in the water?”
Here we see her voyeuristic perspective as she makes connections between earth, people, time, and the stars.
DETAILS
CASTING: Must be 18+ and conformable standing still for 15 seconds for each shot.
STYLING: Nude
LOCATIONS: 90+ minutes away from the city so we can get proper lighting/stars.
TIMING: Ideally nights with 1/4 and 3/4 moon or less.
DREAMSCAPES
This series is the basis for most of my work. The idea is “did you ever have a dream that you couldn’t explain?”
Dreams are strange. This series (and much of my work) is playing with obtuse imagery that is connected to the dream world.
Your friends face started to distort and she couldn’t put it back? You were skateboarding through a cemetery? You lived underwater? You had sex with a friend? This is the space for the more imaginative and loose ideas.
The dream world is all about fantasy. And the dreamscape series explores some of our weirdest ideas.

CASTING: Open to all
STYLING: Open
LOCATIONS: City and Nature
TIMING: 24/7
Vernon
Vernon is a project juxtaposing the temporary nature of youth and beauty alongside the difficult world of a blue collar industrial landscapes.
Here we witness blunt dichotomies:
Hard and Soft,
Human and Industrial,
Masculine and Feminine.
It’s a human centipede without the vulgarity. The images are a result of a unique situation where the talent can safely explore a dangerous world.
Due to the nature of industrial parks, these scenes each take time to locate and result in a moment where we see a flash of personal rapture for the individuals being photographed.
DETAILS
CASTING: Anyone open to going t the grossest place in all of LA
STYLING: Scandalous. Must allow movement.
LOCATIONS: Downtown. Please note that this is a live location scouting! Meaning: every night has different scenes, lighting and vibes. We scout until we find the perfect scene. This requires some extra driving around
TIMING: Weekday nights
Phenomena
This is a celebration of Father Time. It’s a meditation on our temporary shared existence with earth and space.
Common friends of this series are the moon, stars, earth, and the unexplained.
Find me shooting this in the mountains, in burnt down forests, on islands, along the ocean, in the desert and anywhere else uninhabited by crowds where I’m able to see the night sky.
CASTING: Open to Planet Earth, Father Time, The Moon, The occasional wanderer.
Home Alone
Home Alone is a simple series that explores people in their own homes. The images have a more open interpretation while the focus is on the model, her home, and her experience in the space.

2023 projects
I’m sure you have gone through my archives. I‘ve done tons of full editorials in NY but stopped when I moved to LA and focused on art and aesthetics. I frequently shot 15-40 page editorials for mags in NY, Europe, and Asia (Numero, Vogue, Odda, Smug, Wonderland, etc).
I shook shit up and took a break. I’ve been off the grid for 3 years. I landed a lot of “firsts” within the fashion industry and want to do it again - in Los Angeles.
I’ll be returning to the editorials and creative direction in 2023 with full teams. I have plenty of concepts to work from and I’m just seeking the right people who get my vision.
Please message if you’d like to talk more about these. There is so much that can be done, but that isn’t being done rn and I’m excited to move this forward with the right people.
